2026 Riso Calendar

Why make a Christmas card when you could spend approximately 300x the amount of time journaling your 2025 into a 2026 calendar for your friends and family? Honestly, cold mailing these to my people gave me a moment of intense self-cringe that I then chose to rage-ignore (I am! going to live! my life! earnestly! and that’s that!!), so here’s a bunch of images for you to see about that.

Pt 1: Sketching

Pt 2: Procreate & 3-Color Printing

Once I scanned files into Procreate, I did a lot of cleaning up, which is not photogenic and took… weeks and weeks. But then it was ready to print! Riso machines print one layer of color at a time, as you can see below. It’s a “trust the process” kind of thing.

Pt 3: Bind, Ship, Enjoy 🚀

This was my first time doing a 3 color print, and I did 12 of them. Some turned out better than others (I’m fond of January and February especially). One learning after I mailed them to everyone: it’s unobvious how you’d hang such a thing in your home. Ah well. It’s all for fun anyway ~
